Jan 30, 2026 | News, Videos

On Thursday, December 4, the FACILITATE closing event Returning Individual Participant Data in Clinical Trials ‘by Design’. Setting a new standard for Patients’ Rights in Europe took place at the European Parliament in Brussels. The event was designed to present the project’s outcomes and the FACILITATE Principles in a high-level institutional setting, with a view to encouraging multi-stakeholder dialogue and endorsement. The session brought together patient representatives, data managers, ethics committee members, industry, clinicians, researchers, and policy stakeholders to discuss RoIPD “by
design” and its implications for EU clinical research. The event aimed to (i) disseminate project results, (ii) present the Principles (D6.7) as a practical roadmap, and (iii) discuss implications with all the stakeholders.
